The November to December 2024 edition of Meridale News & Planner has now been published and will be finding its way through letterboxes around the area soon.

Sadly, here at Meridale we have decided to make this, the 25th Anniversary edition of The Meridale News, the final issue. It has been a challenge for quite some time to bring you fresh and up to date news, which can now be found on many social media channels within minutes of it being announced. Many of our loyal deliverers have also moved on and finding replacements hasn’t been easy.

The good news is that we will continue with The Planner section, which we will print in house in smaller quantities and will be available at Meridale and other local outlets, as well as being on our website, meridale.co.uk. There, and on our Facebook page, you can stay updated about events at Meridale.

Finally we send huge thanks to everyone who has helped with the Newsletter over the last 25 years. From all those who have compiled, edited, folded and delivered it, to all the local business’s who have supported us financially by having leaflets inserted in some editions and to Rotaset Printworks for always having it ready on time for us to fold.

But the biggest thank you of all must go to Robert Gash, for having the idea in the first place when he was just a teenage member of Meridale Youth Club. We're sure he never expected it to last for 25 years!
